Our One Sky Vineyard Chardonnay comes from our Monopole site, perched at one of the highest elevations in the Sonoma Mountain AVA. Designed to work in
harmony with the land, this vineyard’s volcanic Goulding cobbly clay loam soils and cool, coastal influence allow for ample hang time, resulting in wines with density, liveliness, and complexity. The name “One Sky” reflects its breathtaking perspective, stretching from San Francisco to the Sonoma Coast, reminding us of the shared beauty of the skies above that connects us all.

The 2023 vintage was defined by a wet winter, cool summer, long ripening, and stellar-quality fruit. Much-needed winter rains replenished Sonoma County’s soils and aquifers through early spring, followed by intermittent frost that caused some stunting and uneven growth, though significant damage was avoided. A late but beautiful spring saw grapevines flourish on a delayed schedule. Summer remained cool, slowing maturation despite good fruit set and crop load, while the season ended with cycles of 90+ degree heat and measurable rain over four weeks. Careful canopy management and fruit thinning extended harvest into late October, ultimately yielding exceptional fruit that transformed weather challenges into opportunities for quality.

The 2023 vintage opens with bright, layered flavors of fresh nectarine, apricot, and tropical fruit. A lively pop of acidity frames subtle notes of passion-orange guava. This vibrant and structured wine reflects the vineyard’s mountain terroir, adding richness and texture.
