Originally from Michigan, Kathy moved to California at 14 and spent many years in Southern California before settling in Sonoma in 2014, where she has lived ever since. In January 2017, Kathy joined the Three Sticks team and quickly became an integral part of our hospitality family.
Her passion for wine began when a family friend gifted a bottle of Opus One at Christmas, a moment that sparked the thought, “Oh, that’s what wine is supposed to taste like!” This experience led her to pursue a WSET Level 3 certification, deepening both her knowledge and appreciation for the world of wine.
Outside of Three Sticks, Kathy is an avid traveler who makes it a goal to discover a new international destination every year. Spain has completely stolen her heart, and she can’t stay away (with a third trip already on the horizon)! “My favorite part of my job is meeting people from all over the country. Everyone has such interesting stories to tell, and I love converting guests into Chardonnay lovers. After all, I truly believe we make some of the best Chardonnay in Sonoma,” she says.
