Durell Vineyard & Gap’s Crown Named “Marquee” Sonoma County Sites
We are thrilled to have not just one, but two of our estate vineyards listed among the top five of Sonoma County's most "sought-after" vineyard sites by the Virginie Boone of The Press Democrat.
Here's what Boone had to say in her article on August 10, 2015 titled "Marquee Sonoma County vineyards offer sought-after grapes":
Durell Vineyard
- Location: Sonoma Valley/Carneros/Sonoma Coast
- Acreage: 135 acres
- Varietal(s) produced: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
"Why is the vineyard notable: A much sought-after vineyard source for many producers, Durell is owned by Bill Price, who uses them for his Three Sticks wines."
Gap’s Crown
- Location: Sonoma Coast/Petaluma Gap
- Acreage: 406 acres (138 planted)
- Varietal(s) produced: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
"Why is the vineyard notable: Another marquee vineyard owned by Bill Price and the crown jewel in the pending Petaluma Gap AVA (American Viticultural Area)."
It's an honor for our vineyard sites to be listed alongside Jackass Hill Vineyard, Bacigalupi and Kick Ranch! Read the complete article here.
