Decanter: Sonoma Chardonnay beyond the stereotypes

We are honored to be featured in a recent article by Decanter writer Ana Carolina Quintela, highlighting the evolution of Sonoma County Chardonnay and the producers redefining what California Chardonnay can be today.

In “Sonoma Chardonnay Beyond the Stereotypes: 20 Great Bottles That Show the Spectrum of Terroir-Driven Styles,” Ana explores the extraordinary diversity of Sonoma County Chardonnay, from coastal, mineral-driven expressions to layered mountain-grown wines shaped by elevation, fog, and soil.

Among the featured wines is our 2023 Gap’s Crown Vineyard Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast AVA, a vineyard we have proudly farmed since 2012. The wine received 95 points, and we are incredibly grateful for the recognition and thoughtful review.
