Iron Horse Vineyards produces exclusively estate-bottled still and sparkling wines with a distinct sense of place, specific to the Green Valley of the Russian River Valley AVA. Joy Sterling represents the second generation at Iron Horse. She is the CEO of the winery and a member of the California State Food & Agriculture Board, appointed by the Governor. True to season, she begins this panel by showcasing the famous Russian River Valley terroir with the 2017 Iron Horse Sparkling Spring Rosé.

Three Sticks Wines is a boutique, family-owned winery based in Sonoma, California, renowned for its pinot noir and chardonnay. Named Winemaker of the Year by LuxSF, Ryan Prichard crafts world class wines from exceptional estate vineyards, such as Durell and Gap’s Crown, that are proudly shared with visitors to their historic 1842 Adobe home, steps from the Sonoma Plaza. In this virtual tasting, Ryan highlights the 2018 Three Sticks Wines Gap’s Crown Vineyard Pinot Noir and shares what makes this award-winning site in the newly-founded Petaluma Gap AVA so extraordinary.

Aperture Cellars champions a range of expressive Bordeaux style wines from Sonoma County’s premier cool-climate Bordeaux varietal vineyard sites. Jesse Katz has, in a remarkably short period of time, made himself into one of the most respected wine professionals in California. He was the first winemaker ever to be included in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, a Wine Enthusiast 40 Under 40 Tastemaker, and had been named a Wine Spectator “Rising Star.” Jesse joins this virtual tasting to share the 2018 Aperture Cabernet Sauvignon and delves into why this variety flourishes in Sonoma County.
